Abstract:

This article gives a review on serial murders’ psychological characteristics; studies models highlighting the etiological, motivational and behavioral characteristics of serial killers; highlights the common features of serial killers that distinguish them from other types of killers. It takes a detailed look at the personality of Charles Manson as one of the most famous serial killers in history – a psychological profile has been compiled (based on the etiological model of A.O. Bukhanovsky), which allows to identify the psychological characteristics of the killer.
