Abstract:
The article describes the negative aspects of the influence of the consumer society on the self-consciousness of modern youth. These are such phenomena as the spread of the logic of thingism in interpersonal relationships and even in relationships with oneself. A person begins to perceive himself as a thing. Continuous consumption hinders reflection and plunges the mind into a fuss. From consumption, the ability to choose is modified.
